Wanted: Single Green Alligator

I am now officially guilty. I lost my son's favorite toy, his little hand puppet alligator. He loved that toy. It always made him laugh. I think it fell out of my purse while we were leaving church. And so far I have not been able to find it in the lost & found or anywhere. So as to relieve me broken heart (and Korban's) I have searched all over the internet to find another one. No luck. So I send this out to all those moms and dads who have misplaced something of their kids. Please let me know if anyone sees one in a store. It was given to us in Phoenix so I imagine that will be the most likely spot. Thank you.

From One to Five

Up until last week I never could picture myself with multiple kids. Before Korban it was hard to imagine just one. But this past week I had the opportunity to go to Twin Falls and be a mother of 5 for several days. My brother, Russ, and his beautiful wife, Tia, were headed to Costa Rica for a week of hiking through the rainforest, traveling down rapids, and enjoying some beautiful beaches. With the help of my dad, we spent the week getting the kids off to school, scouts, and practices, helping them clean and do homework, and trying to get them to eat and bath. Korban just loved having older boys around. They made him laugh so hard and gave him the motivation to start moving around and trying to roll over. Having 5 little boys ranging from ages 10 to 6 months really put the whole parent thing into perspective. Some would call it birth control. But as scary as that many kids at once are, those boys were great. They are sweet little boys. But I know I couldn't have done it without my dad being there all week, and later my mom coming to relieve me. It is nice that we have family all close where we can do that for one another.

A New Barney Life

Well, here I am. I told Hilary and Rachael I would put this together and so I have. You may now commence blog-stalking the Barneys too.

We just moved into our new house in Idaho Falls a couple of weeks ago. I have been spending that time doing what I enjoy doing, organizing and designing my house. It is pretty much done for the time being. I have furniture in place, pictures on the walls, and it functions. I would say that would suffice for now. As per request of my husband, I am leaving my painting, molding, and other major design jobs for this and future summers. We love our new house, not just because we finally have one place to call our home, but because we got to choose our own finishes from the beginning to really reflect our personalities. You can see them below. I am not a photographer so please forgive the gray looking pics. I just remembered I should have added lighting but I am not going to go back and retake everything. I don't have pics of our master and some other areas in the basement. They are works in progress. I also added some of our new lake in the backyard and mote (spelling) going through our lovely rock driveway. Don't you love the snow, especially when it melts. I can't wait for it all to thaw (that will be around June) so we can finally get a real driveway and landscape our yard.
